When & Where

Dromore Walking Club meets at 9.15am on the first Sunday of every month in Dromore Square, for a 9.30 departure. Members require their our own cars to get to the various walks. The committee will endeavour to retain the clubs membership at a manageable size.

You can email us to enquire about the club and get further details.

New members are welcome, please contact us for further information.

The Club has members of all ages and abilities. We all meet at the same time and place starting the walk together. We have an annual walking weekend, usually June, which is a great walking and social event.

Now for the boring stuff!
The Club recognises that hill walking activities come with a danger of personal injury or death and does not provide qualified mountain leadership. Leadership and Guidance given by Club members is in the tradition whereby a novice will learn from a more experienced members. Members are not technical experts but amateurs with some experience they are prepared to share.

Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and are responsible for their own actions and involvement. Anyone participating in Club events should recognise such and that any advice given is on this basis and that the onus of responsibility remains with the individual.

Members/guests are responsible to ensure appropriate clothing and footwear when walking. If you have a difficulty or any concerns, on or with a walk, you are expected to alert another club member or walk leader. If you are not sure about what is appropriate clothing and footwear, please ask before you arrive for a walk.

A student member is anyone under 18 years old. Students under 16 years should be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
